"The Principal Story" is a documentary chronicling two Illinois school principals over the course of a school year. It debuted as part of PBS' P.O.V. series of independent produced documentaries. The production was financed by the Wallace Foundation. To view the video and supporting content click on PBS. The video runs 56 minutes and is available for on-line viewing through December 13, 2009.

I saw the episode and it demonstrated the qualities of an effective leader could be the critical tipping point in terms of school improvement. Too bad the principal decided to move out of administration into a consulting role as she had some great qualities that other schools could have benefited. Thanks for this information
