KnowledgeBases > The English Language Learner KnowledgeBase for Teachers > Element 6 > Activity 1 > Task 3: Follow Policies and Procedures for Exiting ELL Students

Guideline:

A district should establish criteria to determine when an English language learner (ELL) student qualifies for exiting the program. The district should be able to demonstrate its exit criteria are based on objective standards that ensure ELL students will be able to participate meaningfully and successfully in the district's regular education program.

This table contains links to the each state's English language proficiency (ELP)standards. The standards can be useful with planning curriculum, instruction, and assessment of English language learners (ELLs).

This table contains links to each state's requirements related to ELL student exit criteria.
