KnowledgeBases > The Curriculum Mapping KnowledgeBase > Element 1 > Activity 3 > Task 1: Define Leadership Roles and Structures

Guideline:

Launching curriculum mapping within a district and its schools is a major change initiative. A successful execution requires new leadership roles and organizational structures. Such roles and structures should be designed to meet the district's and schools' needs.

This resource offers suggested organizational structures and roles that may be helpful when a district and school implements curriculum mapping. The structures have been extracted from Janet Hale's PowerPoint presentation "Mapping the Curriculum: Curriculum Mapping Intra-Organizations and Actions Plans," slides 7-18.

This document is an example of an organizational approach for curriculum mapping from the Skiatook (Oklahoma) Public Schools.
