Guideline:

Accomplishing the school improvement plan objectives might involve many people and require a lot of time. The lead person for each improvement plan goal or objective should manage the project's progress. Periodic progress reports should be given to the principal or person designated to monitor the improvement plan's implementation.

This link to the How to Manage Small Projects website offers a series of steps associated with managing small projects. The resource may be useful to anyone tasked with lead responsibility for accomplishing a specific project, work plan goal, or objective.

Developed by the five Comprehensive Technical Assistance content centers, the Handbook on Effective Implementation of School Improvement Grants aims to bolster the effective implementation of the intervention models and strategies outlined in the 2009 School Improvement Grant program. This section addresses monitoring the implementation process.
