Guideline:

The critical outcome expected of schools is improved student academic achievement. When pursuing strategies aimed at academic achievementto educators must determine the effectiveness of their instructional efforts. Utilizing the student assessment results in Mathematics, Language Arts, and Science a grant seeker can begin to identify instructional program needs.

This tool will help schools summarize state testing results and use the distilled information to identify instructional needs within the school.

Alternate format: PDF

The results of the academic assessment should provide data for identifying academic program needs and opportunities. This document summarizes how the data is to be disaggregated.

This document describes the International Reading Association's summary of the National Reading Panel's report, "Teaching Children to Read." Within the document are summarized findings for each of the subgroups of the study: alphabetics, fluency, comprehension, teacher education, and computer technology. These summaries are useful in evaluating current and/or prospective reading programs in the school.
