KnowledgeBases > The Writing Successful Grants KnowledgeBase > Element 3 > Activity 2 > Task 3: Identify Potential Project Partners

Guideline:

Accomplishing the project idea may require partnering with other community organizations and/or local businesses. Such partnering might involve financial relationships, the use of facilities, or the sharing of expertise and services. Prior to approaching potential partnering organizations the grant seeker needs to know why they are seeking partners and what they need from the relationship. Involving project partners in developing the grant proposal will optimize their support for the project and enhance its prospects for success.

This worksheet provides the grant writer and/or project team a place to record vital contact information about potential project partners and what function they might take on as part of the project.

Alternate format: PDF

Organizations willing to work together must have mutual interests and compatibilities as well as benefit from the relationship. This document lists factors helping and hindering collaboration.
