KnowledgeBases > The Positive Learning Climates KnowledgeBase > Element 2 > Activity 1 > Task 6: Identify Interactions with Other Government Agencies

Guideline:

Interactions with law enforcement and district attorneys often occur when a school has experienced some kind of violent or drug-related situation. Tracking such interactions is important when compiling the school and community snapshot. The lessons learned from such episodes can be a basis for creating a safer school climate.

This guide developed by Education Northwest, formerly the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory, helps educators develop and implement partnerships with law enforcement agencies aimed at enhancing school safety.

This resource part of Education Northwest's series of safe schools guidebooks helps educators improve their capacity to serve all students by linking with mental health and social service agencies.
