The Positive Learning Climates KnowledgeBase : Element 2 : Activity 2 : Task 2: Family and Community Factors

Guideline:

Using the completed family and community profile, a principal can assess how the external environment is impacting school safety and student academic achievement. These findings can identify focus areas for creating a positive school climate.

This resource is part of Education Northwest's series of safe schools guidebooks. Fostering School, Family, and Community Involvement helps educators identify and discuss the issues involved with school, families, and community organizations working together to enhance the school climate.

This guide was orignally developed by Education Northwest, formerly the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory. School-Law Enforcement Partnerships helps educators develop and implement partnerships with law enforcement agencies aimed at enhancing school safety.

This resource is part of Education Northwest's series of safe schools guidebooks. The Role of Mental Health Service in Promoting Safe and Secure Schools helps educators improve their capacity to serve all students by linking with mental health and social service agencies.
