The Positive Learning Climates KnowledgeBase : Element 3 : Activity 2 : Task 4 : Sub-Task 2: Business Community

This checklist excerpted from Best Practices of Youth Violence Prevention: A Sourcebook for Community Action, a publication from the Centers for Disease Control provides a list of organizations that may be interested in collaborating in partnership with schools on youth violence prevention efforts including efforts to improve the school climate.

This guidebook developed by The Conference Board and available from the U.S. Department of Education's website "provides business leaders and their education and community partners with information and guidance about policies and practices that promote employee and family involvement in education, address workforce and student needs, and support education initiatives within communities. The material includes practical applications and examples from employers who are actively participating in these efforts."

Developed by the Council for Corporate and School Partnerships, "this guide is a tool to help schools and corporations learn how to create, implement, sustain, or evaluate a school-business partnership. The guide identifies a series of steps in establishing a school-business partnership."
