Guideline:

District staff members and principals should be aware of the governmental funding available for school safety programs. Federal funding is available in the form of discretionary grants and formula grants disbursed through each state's department of education. In some states, local governments may provide funding as well. Besides education-related channels, government funding may be available through federal and state law enforcement and health agencies.

Grants.gov allows organizations to find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all federal grant-making agencies. Grants.gov is the single access point for programs offered by federal grant-making agencies. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is the managing agency for this e-gov initiative from the U.S. government.
