KnowledgeBases > Community Vision - Key Questions
This list of seven questions to pose to community constituents is designed to help schools identify a vision of what the community wants and expects from its schools. The questions were developed by the 2003 Baldrige National Quality Award in Education recipient, Community Consolidated School District 15 in Palatine, Illinois.
- What issues will the school/district have to address over the next five years to provide the highest quality education for students?
- What are the most important skills students will need as they live and work in the 21st century?
- What standards do you use to evaluate the quality of education in the school/district?
- What evidence would persuade you that students in the school/district receive a world-class education?
- What priorities should the school/district use in the development of financial plans and future budgets?
- As a constituent of the school/district, are you satisfied? Explain why.
- What would the school/district have to do to delight you?
