KnowledgeBases > Grants to Improve the Mental Health of Children

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act as amended by Public Law 107-110 provides grants for numerous educational programs. Title V: Promoting Informed Parental Choice and Innovative Programs, Subpart 14: Grants to Improve the Mental Health of Children, delineates two grant programs addressing the mental health of children.

Section 5541 addresses grants for the integration of schools and mental health systems. Section 5542 addresses promoting school readiness through early childhood social and emotional development.
